Trill Symbol that looks like a zigzag. May see either the symbol or letters “tr ” over the note. The Embellishment begins on the scale note above the main note (unless modified by a sharp or flat) and returns to main. It is most often a four note grouping. If the trill symbol is extended, it means to continue the pattern to fill the amount of time it extends over.
