Time Signature Two numbers stacked on top of each other that are placed at the beginning of the music to tell how many beats per measure (top number) and what notes gets the beat (bottom number). Can also happen in the middle of the music if there is a time change.
4 = quarter note, 2 = half note, 8 = eighth note, 16 = sixteenth note
